With over 700 companies exhibiting their latest products in one of Scandinavia’s most modern trade centers, the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is an incredible opportunity to be inspired and take part in the latest design, color and material trends. This was Children Spaces’ first visit to the fair, and we were overwhelmed by the array of innovative designs.
The Design Talks series featured enlightening panel discussions about trends and current topics of debate in the industry, as well as lectures by prolific designers such as Karim Rashid. This year’s Trend Exhibition was curated by the highly acclaimed designer Lotta Agaton, and focused on the theme of contrasts. Finally there was the Greenhouse area, where young and emerging independent designers exhibited their work. All these elements make the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair a magnificent experience, and an event worth returning to year after year.
One of the exhibitors that caught our eye was Nordic Parks, a Swedish playground manufacturer. Key design themes for this exciting company include bright greens, light wood panelling, and both painted and pure metal.
Nordic Parks describes their brand as “eco-friendly, quality Swedish playground equipment. Manufactured in Sweden with environmentally friendly materials, but without the high price tag.” For us, they were a standout company at this year’s fair, so we’re featuring some of their designs for you to enjoy.
