Maria Merrett is the creator and publisher of the Tojo and Nelly book series. Tojo and Nelly are their real-life cats and the inspiration behind all of the stories. Maria is now a grandma that loves children’s tales and creating amazing stories of characters based on her own cats and family’s pets. Maria says “animals provide a never-ending source of entertainment and inspiration” and after seeing the videos of the stories you can experience them too in your imagination.
Maria’s partners are Tamara Forge, the writer of the stories, and Nana Burduli, a renowned illustrator whose beautifully detailed pictures accompany the stories to really bring the tales to life. In the videos we see an Armenian artist, Sargis Xotikyan creating the animation for the Tojo and Nelly Song. The outcome shows that they very much enjoyed creating the stories. Tojo and Nelly’s stories are made for kids, and we are sure cat lovers will have fun with the adventures of the two felines and their Friends. All the books are illustrated in eBook format, perfect for taking children through a feline adventure on a tablet before they go to bed or set off for school.
